This relation gave birth to our fore-father, Nelson Bond. It is said that the enslaved Sarah Cranville bore the child of Watson Bond,  a slave-owner or member of the slave-holding family. That child was Nelson Bond, it is recorded that he was never sold. {It is also believed that Nelson had a brother, Jackson, that was sold.}

Nelson Bond was industrious as a farmer and accomplished significant status as a  land-owner. His union in marriage(s)  gave birth to eleven children. Although no record has been produced to indicate how he acquired the land; his last will and testament passes the land to his heirs--some 100 acres.
